Four of us went on the city hall tour on September 10th. The guides pointed out the murals, doors, sculptures and carved details on the first floor and we also toured the mayor's office, council chambers (with the gorgeous stained glass ceiling) and observation deck. They also talked about the history of Buffalo and the Eire Canal. From the observation deck there were wonderful views of the city. Reservations are required, and the one-hour tour is free. I highly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Buffalo City Hall tour today with Bruce & Mary! The Art Deco building is beautiful inside, with stunning symbolism around every corner. The artwork & carvings pay homage & respect to Native Americans, neighboring Canada, and industries that were instrumental to the development & growth of the city. It's an hour steeped in history we'll spent.

We had a recommendation to tour the city hall and boy am I glad we did! It is a beautiful building giving a 360 degree view of Buffalo from the observation deck. Nice to get a free view of the downtown and surrounding area. You could see how the streets jutted out from the city center.

The tour schedule on this is very limited but it's a free tour. We arrived very early to go up to the Observation Tower first and it was very cool. It was a Monday so there weren't many people there which was good because it was very windy with storms. A little scary at times but the views were outstanding. We came back down to meet our guide Eileen who was extremely informative about the building and teaching about the architecture was fascinating. The tour is about 45 minutes long then you finish at the Observation Tour. A must see in Buffalo!!!
