I usually go here for First Friday events but they are open year round with frequently rotating exhibitions. I was here today for Meredith Davenport's Theatre Of War which was part of the Fringe Festival offerings which ends on Sept 27th. This exhibit documents in video and photos a group of men who create games based on real wars. It was not one of my favorites but by changing every month, we can always look ahead to something we might like better. In October, they will have RIT alumni Cecily Culver's sculpture work on exhibit followed by a juried exhibition of work by various RIT graduate and undergraduate students in November. Most of the exhibits tend to be heavy in more contemporary art with some technology inspired exhibits. It is a nice venue to see the artwork put out by some talented alumni artists from RIt and some future potential famous artists. I like the fact that the exhibits are new every month which gives us a lot of opportunities to appreciate what the RIT art department inspires. The gallery is kept very clean, it is free of charge and has about 2 gallery rooms and a small hallway. During the week, you can usually find street parking in front of the building.
