Altar at Salem on Christmas Eve.
Salem United Church of Christ Church

Though the Salem United Church of Christ has embraced modern ways of thinking, its still deep-rooted in history. This historic structure dates back to 1873, the architect being Charles Coats. Over the period of time, the building was renovated and renamed several times; however, the overall Romanesque Revival style of designing has been retained. Included in the National Register of Historic Places, it also boasts of a pipe organ that was installed way back in 1923. Today, the church is involved in many activities that benefit the entire community, right from youth programs to special activities for women every base is covered. Truly, the Salem United Church of Christ stands for an unique blend of history and futuristic approach. Check website for more details.
