A beutiful hike. Definitely start on the west end so you are facing the falls.

The lower trail can be challenging but the upper trail starting on College Avenue is an easy, mostly level walk that has lovely views.

We went looking for waterfalls after seeing the gorgeous Niagara Falls and even went into Canada. We drove 3 hours to get to Finger Lakes. This was the end of our Ithaca trip. We found one location of the Cascadilla Gorge Trail. So again this was end of May. The trail said closed for winter. I was so disappointed. Besides not knowing where the trail exactly started and where all the falls were exactly, this was a huge disappointment not being able to see more of the trail. There could have been other signs stating where more of the falls could be seen from along that trail. If the whole trail was not shut down, then it should have directed us to where we could still get on it and see other falls. It was a once in a lifetime trip for me and I wish we could have seen more waterfalls in that Gorge.

Most of the trail is closed for repairs, you barely see anything. Also, since it's within Ithaca city limits, there is no parking lot, you have to find your own spot on the street.
