I’m not a mall shopper so my views may be jaded. The mall seemed stale to me and I felt like I didn’t miss anything by going or not going. There are a few anchor stores but not much of a food court. There is an actual swimming pool in the mall though. I didn’t buy a thing.

In this day and age with many malls around the country struggling, the Francis Scott Key Mall seemed to be thriving on my 1st visit on a Saturday in October. Anchored by Macy's, J C Penney, Dick's Sporting Goods and Barnes & Noble, it is basically a long rectangle shape with some off shoots and no 2nd floor. There was no traditional food court with a few restaurants sprinkled in and in kiosks though there were plenty around the perimeter of the mall and close by. There were a lot of nationally recognized stores like Hallmark, Yankee Candle, Victoria's Secret, and Bath & Body Works etc, but also a lot of unique independent/regional/local stores also like Duet with Music and Tournament City. It looks like with their location in such a fast growing area they are probably going to survive. It was nice going into a busy mall particularly after visiting one that had 30% of the storefronts empty.

Dispite the simple signage, Halal diversity has great food . Nice mall with plenty of parking. Fantastic staff and fresh food at Halal Diversity located in the small food court. Very clean mall and I saw an attendant cleaning the food court area to keep it tidy.

This is a fairly nice sized mall. Place was very clean and the architecture was very nice. Almost every space was occupied. A good many shoppers around for a Thursday. Unlike many most this one has only one level. They have a JCPenney, Sears, and Value City, some stores I haven't seen in awhile. They don't have a food court but instead the concession stands are scattered throughout the mall.

I have been here countless times over the years. This was always Frederick's best shopping mall, even when there were two. Now it's the only one in the city and county. The most recent trip that I made here was back in Dec 2018 for Christmas shopping. I made purchases at Hollister, AE,and anchor store, Sears. I tend to park right outside of Sears since there always seems to be spots open there and it's nearby an entrance to the mall. After March 2019, this will be 1 of only 10 remaining Sears Stores locations in Maryland.
