tripadvisorDon't miss this park! You can enjoy it for a few minutes or a few hours. There's a native plant garden in front of the old home. And it's an easy walk from there down to a nice stretch of beach.
MoreI have probably walked through or by this park several hundred times over the past 50+ years. Although I have played catch with my son several times in the past, I never noticed how soft the grass was until this past summer. I don't know if they replanted or what, but it is wonderful!.There is a sign on Ocean Street pointing to the fact that there is a public toilet in the park.In the storeroom you can see trhough the window that one of the large chicken statues that used to grace the Twin Inn is stored there. It would be wonderful if it coupd be restored and somewow displayed in the park. There was no sign of the homeless referencwd in the previous review.
MorePark taken over by homeless transients smoking pot, sleeping in bushes, living in pavilion and on the house porch. Shameful. Don’t take your family here, especially kids.
MoreSmall park with signs on the attactions including the oldest building in the Carlsbad area. This is a good short stop for local history.
MoreWhile heading to spend some time with my wife on the beach, we decided to check out this pretty little park next to Saint Michael's Episcopal Church in Carlsbad. The beach access is right down the street between some houses. So we went to the park where they have some historic houses and very nice landscaping, which would be great for a family picnic. They have restrooms onsite, and at times I read they do tours of the buildings. Due to COVID-19, they were closed when we visited. But really pretty.
