MoreA part of Georgia Institute of technology. It is a brand new center of the Georgia Tech. Places like Barnes & Noble's Starbucks and centergey buildings are located here.
MoreTech Square is a little bit of calm that essentially straddles the highway. Part of the area is a park that is in fact a bridge over I85/I75 that bisects Atlanta. Why can't more bridges be like this? The Square itself reminds me of Cambridge MA due to its being part of Georgia Tech. With the trees, offices, shops, and restaurants it really provides a great village Square feel. We are at the Canteen - a new food court style place several with food services, all top notch. You'll find the same places at the Krogg Street Market. There is ample parking of all sorts and not too far from MARTA. It's also where the Amazon Locker is located. Good place to know about if you want to leave the city behind without leaving the city.
MoreI come here once a year as a high school debate coach. It is beautiful. I also run while I'm here. It is clean & the Old Fourth Ward area is great. Be careful if you venture too far NY foot... some places seem a little unfriendly. But Tech Square is fantastic. Lots of places to eat & the hotel is grateful as well.
MoreI was having coffee with a friend in Tech Square recently, when she said that she didn't realize that Atlanta could be this beautiful. Technology Square is a redeveloped neighborhood, clustered around Georgia Tech's Business School and state offices. It has tons of restaurants, the university bookstore, and lots of urban life. This is the best place in Atlanta to experience a sunny afternoon, drink coffee, and read a book.
