Reviews
tripadvisorThe reviews were good and so were the prices and yes, staff is nice and breakfast is good. It was also quiet. But the curtains were broken in the room so light could come in. Worst of all, the room smelled of urine. At least the bathroom was clean but I couldn’t sleep at all. The air conditioner seemed to have a delayed reaction as well
MoreWhile the lobby and breakfast are nice, that seems to be where it ends. Our original room reeked of cigarette smoke and was dingy. After returning to our room after a FULL Day of business, we opened the door to find a condom wrapper (that was NOT there when we left) on the floor and NO evidence that the room had been cleaned. I have never been so disgusted. We had to Inspect and clean all of our belongings. While we were moved to another room, there was nothing more done to address the level of violation of trust, safety and respect. Please.... Do not stay here. There is no guarantee of safety and security.
MoreThere is no staff present and good luck trying to get a hold of them through the phone number. Super sketchy. They will still take your money if you try to cancel, which you won’t be able to because there’s never anyone actually working there.
MoreThis motel is NOT SAFE. I was woken up at 1am to the sounds of a woman next door screaming and sobbing. She and a man were shouting and fighting for at least an hour. I called the number provided online over and over. No answer. After 40 minutes, I couldn't take it anymore and went outside to find a number taped on the guest services door for emergencies. Just feeling lucky I wasn't harmed trying to get the number. I called and at least someone answered and said they would take care of it. The couple raged on long after I called, so nothing was done. At some point one of them said something that made it clear they were doing drugs. I'm not sure if sex work was involved in their dynamic but it definitely sounded that way.I live in the hood in Philly. I am surrounded by small time drug dealers, sex workers, and general violence. I do not scare easily. This stay was HORRIFIC. Did I expect this place to be a 4-star hotel? No. But I would rather sleep in my car than ever live through something this traumatic again. I cannot believe I was made to pay money. If there is anywhere else you can stay, go there.
MoreIf you have a wheelchair you can only enter up a long, steep, rickety ramp into the lobby but can't open the door so you have to ask for help to get in. Then get to your room with a 5-inch step at the doorway - not handicap accessible. The bathroom had a strong smell of urine, the wall behind the microwave was dirty and had streaks from something that was wet and the color of earwax.
