My favorite part of the ghost tour was learning, the history associated with the building, and the knowledge of our guide.

We did the Tormented and Lost Souls tour on Friday night with Ken. We were lucky enough to have what felt like a personal tour with only the four of us in our group. This is not your typical ghost tour but instead it’s real life stories of people involved in the war including soldiers, doctors and ordinary women turned nurses. You hear their stories and find out why their souls are tormented and unable to Rest In Peace. Ken tells the stories with reverence and passion. You can tell he loves what he does and that he has a wealth of knowledge of history. When he found out we were staying in the two most haunted rooms at Farnsworth House he offered to come up to the rooms and share stories pertains to them. The tour typically last 1.5 hours but ours ended up being a little over three hours and we loved every minute. I highly recommend this tour!

My friend and I walked by the tour by chance and talked over the times for each session. We were encouraged for the adult “tortured soul” version at 10 PM Friday with Ken. Ken was incredible. He is very passionate about the history of Gettysburg. The feeling I got about his approach is that so many times, we want to see something scary like a ghost without thinking about how they might be made. Ken didn’t hold back: he tells you in haunting detail how ghosts are created on the battlefield and how the people left alive are haunted, apparitions or not. Incredible, masterful storyteller. His tour is unforgettable.

We did the cellar tour. Ask for Ed! He was funny, entertaining and told us some great ghost tales in the creepy cellar of the Farnsworth House. We booked last minute, tour was an hour long. Definitely one of the best tours in the circuit and we've done them all. They also offer a tour where you can use ghost detecting equipment. .Book in advance a week or more before you arrive these tours fill up fast.

The tour is listed as 1 1/2 hours. Ours consisted of a whole 2 1/2 hours. The first hour consisted of a brief visit to the Farnsworth House attic and then storytelling in the cellar. Afterwards, we then went through the streets of Gettysburg and finding out the true story of Jennie Wade. Our guide, Doc, was funny and told a series of interesting tales, that ranged from ghosts to a 1918 murder. Wonderful tour, just be prepared that it may go a bit long.
