Had such a nice little stroll on a Tuesday morning, sat down on a log and watched the dogs play. It was quiet, great weather.

Golden Gardens Park has a mixture that suits adults and children alike. Lots of beach sports , BBQ, nature park and beach with tons of parking.

Don't go by yourself. . . This is a beautiful sandy beach, with grills, restrooms, icecream shop down the way, but because it is nice, parking fills up quickly on nice days. There is a wildlife area at the end of the road, but you can't get to it if the parking lot is full, (they close access) and there is a big dog park also, but they have problems here with homeless. But the park is open until 10:00ish so you can see sunsets, if you choose. driving here, you get to enjoy the images of all the marines and boats docked also. If you can grab a parking place your day will be great.

We visited Golden Gardens Park on a Beautiful October Day. We went as group of friends and had a big area of the Beach, all to ourselves. It was Sunny with a few clouds and the temperatur broke 70* by about 1 p.m. We stay for the day and even watched a Wonderful Sunset

From the initial view, the beach can have some picturesque moments. But getting there requires precision in getting the right parking spot, negotiating with a departing party for the spot at a waning fire grill, and all this before the 10:30 PM curfew.
