Saw the Part of the S.S. Clifton my grandfather and associates recovered from the Battle Of Sabine Pass in the Civil War.

I see the last review was back in 2017. UPDATE-the park is STILL closed??? I'm at the civic center-that's where my navigator brought me, but I do see a fence with a sign on it sayibg park closed

I was looking forward to visiting the park, perhaps with lunch and a book. When I looked up the park for directions, Google shows the park permanently closed. Trip Advisor had reviews, but nothing about closure. My husband and I drove past after dinner. It was dark, but it did not look blocked off anywhere and the Children's Museum was lit up. It would be good if someone would post current information.

This park was so lovely and now it looks so sad. The city is working on getting some funds to fix it and make it even better than it was. They hope to add a splash park and new restrooms. Hopefully, it will happen!

Why go here, there is nothing here. Once a year the 4th of July party is here other than that there is no reason to come here.
