tripadvisorSilver Park might be one of Missoula's biggest, but still unknown public parks. Infrastructure is in place, with room to go, and it is a beautiful gem in the middle of a former industrial (and now full of construction) zone, right along the river.
MoreI often ride my bike through this park because I love the river views and enjoy seeing people enjoying all the park offers.
MoreI walk/run this park on a frequent basis. I have to rate it as one of Missoula's finest places to be outside.
MoreWe ended up at Silver Park following a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a portion of the Bitterroot bike path in Lolo. Adventure Cycling had organized a bike expo and the park's grounds offered a wonderful setting. Food trucks lined one section, while exhibitors pitched their tents and set out their information/products along the expanse of grass. There were nice, clean bathrooms and plenty of space to set up a picnic or chairs for just hanging out. Close to downtown, the park is a convenient place for a walk or a bike ride.
MoreWe were the first ever to rent the park and shelters for an event, and I think we kicked it off in style! It's beautifully constructed, great views, parking is simple (except when the Osprey are playing, of course), and offered so many options for park games and festivities. It's a really great, economical option for family events.
