I did two tours at the begging of July, waterfalls tour + Rooster Rock State Park & at Sauvie Island. It was a great way to see some of the sights out side of the city, and meeting new people and making friends. It was informative, and plenty of opportunity to ask questions, but there was plenty of chances to do your own thing. I would highly recommend to company, especially if you are travelling on your own (as I was), but it is suitable for couples, groups and families too.

I was lucky enough to have the chance to visit Sauvie Island with Confluence Tours, which was the best part of my trip to Portland! Our guide had a wealth of information to share and was friendly, fun, and well educated. You can tell he has many years of experience in the tour industry. While booking online, I noticed how affordable the tour prices were. This was perfect since myself and others were more budget-minded. The process was easy, and I had many options to choose from. The tour van was comfy and spacious with large windows that allowed us to see views of Mt. Hood, Mount St. Helens, and Mt. Adams. We were given the options to stop at “u-pick” berry farms, but decided instead to spend more time on the beach. The beach was beautiful and tubes were provided for those who wanted to float and relax, while others had the option to throw frisbee and play other beach sports. The water felt great and we watched huge boats pass by. Some opted in to walk and visit the lighthouse at the end of the island. To me, the option to do whatever I wanted on the tour was perfect. My utmost gratitude goes out to the guides of Confluence Tours for being so flexible, knowledgeable, and informative. It was everything I could have imagined and I can’t wait to visit Portland again to try the other tours! To anyone considering, give them a try and you won’t be upset.

I couldn't ask for a better guide. Grant was able to answer all my questions about the area and really taught me some fun facts! I went on two separate tours: one to Sauvie Island and one to see the waterfalls. Sauvie Island felt like a hidden gem, as no other tour companies take trips there. Both tours were relaxing and totally worth the money! It also was a great way to meet some cool travelers :) I highly recommend.
