tripadvisorThe Vintage Shop at Water Street Market in New Paltz, New York, is a wondrous portal to the past, a curiosity cabinet of forgotten dreams and half-remembered tales. As I wandered through its cluttered aisles, I felt the weight of history upon me, the whispers of bygone eras echoing through the racks of garments and shelves of artifacts. This shop is a time capsule, a repository of timeless treasures and trends, where the past and present collide in a swirl of textures, colors, and scents. Each item, meticulously curated, tells a story of its own, a fragment of a life lived, a moment frozen in time.In The Vintage Shop, the boundaries between past and present blur, and the very fabric of time seems to unravel. It's a place where the curious and the brave can lose themselves, where the detritus of yesterday becomes the treasure of tomorrow. For those who dare to venture into this emporium of the past, be prepared to uncover secrets, to unearth hidden gems, and to be enchanted by the whispers of the ancients. The Vintage Shop is a haven for the nostalgic, the eccentric, and the seekers of the unknown.
MoreIt’s okay. The stores are cute and it’s a short stripe. Unfortunately being welled traveled I seen most of the thing the merchants are selling so I was favorable to the local unique goods that Himalayan Arts had for yoga. There are a few places to eat but due to Covid-19 two were limited to takeaway. However the other restaurants down Main Street had great grub. I landed at Main Street Bistro for my brunch. There are two trails close by if you want to enjoy weather which I recommend. I’d visit again.
MoreI come here daily. Amazing place with many adorable mom & pop shops and restaurants like The Mudd Puddle, grasery, The Parish, Koshner Bros, and j'ard, just to name a few. Also many great antique shops, an art gallery, clothing stores, and a koi pond. Great place, 100% recommend
MoreThis is a cute little village of shops within the Village of New Paltz. I bought several pieces of well-priced Turquoise jewelry at Himalayan Arts Gift Shop. There is much to see inside this beautiful peaceful boutique. I LOVE the fact that the shopkeeper wished me well and good health while wearing my new jewelry. Nobody does that; which is what makes this shop a must-visit. Great peaceful vibes!!!
MoreWell worth a visit, this stretch of shops has an appeal for shoppers looking for something unique. We especially liked the big red antique barn. Great selection of merchandise nicely arranged and presented. Unfortunately, I did not find any treasures this time around, but I will return. The town itself is congested, so it’s nice this is right when you enter town from the west.
