If you are a performing arts fan, then a visit to the Media Music Theatre Company is a must. This venue is housed in a historic building which has been restored to its original form, however, the interiors have been renovated with modern facilities in order to be accessible. Some of the few productions running include Sweeney Todd, Julius Caesar, The Wizard of the Oz and Saturday Night Fever. They also host auditions for new artists who want to showcase their talent.

tripadvisorWent last month to see a musical/play. For the money, about 40 dollars a ticket, you will have a nice evening. The theater is small and quaint, offers some refreshments (for a price-water, soda, wine) It is handicapped friendly. Parking is next door to the theater or there is street parking. They start on time and have an intermission half way through. There really is no bad seating, i tend to pick the isle. Enjoy the show.
MoreWe took our youngest grandson yesterday to see Elf and it was fantastic. We had great seats and the expression on my grandson’s face was priceless. The actors did an awesome job of presenting this show. We have seen several shows at Media Theater and always have a good time.
MoreExcellant musical. Thought I was at a Broadway Musical! Very good singing and dancing! Food and drinks are a little pricey. Ate at Iron Hill Brewery before the play which is down the block. Very entertaining
MoreMy wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this version of Saturday Night Fever at the Media Theatre on Saturday evening May 18. It was full of energy, great music and dance. Having seen the movie several times, we knew the basic storyline, and we found this presentation hit the mark. The sets were also good. I particularly liked Jesse Corbin who played the part of Tony, and seemed to be in almost every seen. Melissa Rapelje was near perfect as Stephanie, and has a wonderful voice and is a delightful presence, nailing the part. I especially enjoyed her powerful What Kind of Fool. I also felt that Anna Ferrigno played Annette so well, as I felt myself rooting for her to land Tony even though I knew better. The theatre is old, but comfortable. It was also Veterans Night, and they always treat us vets well. It was obvious that the crowd enjoyed the show.
MoreWent to see Saturday Night Fever at the Saturday matinee. It wasn't bad but all the other shows I have seen at the Media were better. Specifically while the principals were terrific, and had great voices, the supporting cast were very weak. The female half was off key many times and the performers were less than energetic. Also the big thing was the sound. Previous reviewers said the theater was cozy and the acoustics good. I would have agreed with that until this show. The sound was off and the lines, especially when delivered quickly, were almost impossible to understand. Much of the dialogue was just lost. Hoping for better next time.
