tripadvisorI usually plan my visits to GR around a show at De Vos Performance Hall. I have never been disappointed. This time we saw Les Misérables and it was fantastic! We had Lodge seats this time; the advantage is that you can move your chair, the disadvantage was that we had very tall people in front of us and that limited our view considerably; holding your head at an angle is also not the most comfortable. I think next time, we will be back in the first five or six rows of the Mezzanine. It was extremely warm in the theater and as always, the lines at the restroom were incredibly long.Staff was very nice and helpful!
MoreThe security services and all the rules are oppressive. No one uses any common sense. They make what should be a wonderful musical experience and turn it into a farce. They have rules about hand bag size, electric screening, not enough programs and rude staff. Fortunately the concert was terrible. After 40 years of attending concerts here this will be the last one.
MoreThe parts that we used were very spacious and the views of the river, and the riverwalk, and the walking bridge, and the cleanliness, were very nice.
MoreWent and seen Beyond Van Gogh. Was very disappointed to not see VR, Art & Life, and studio --- like advertised everywhere. This was the main reason I went,. I also traveled 1hr+ to go see this.
MoreWow! This is a stunning convention center with everything needed to hold a great event. The meeting hall was spacious and allowed for many exhibits. The smaller classrooms were accessed by escalators and many had wonderful views of the river. I loved the doors leading outside where comfortable chairs and rockers were placed. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the view of the river. I also liked that masks were required. Many think the virus is gone but with a group as big as the one we were with, it makes sense to still be wary. There was a catered dinner the last night and it was set up in many areas. This allowed people to get through food lines quickly. There were tables set up inside and out, clear out on the walking bridge over the river. Very classy. We appreciated all the fine touches of the event.
