As far as I could tell this museum has only two exhibition halls. I did not particularly like the artworks displayed on the first floor. The second floor exhibit entitled Sargasso Sea was better though it was rather small. The museum is free.

The institute offers exhibitions of contemporary art; check out their schedule when you are in Philadelphia. We were so fortunate to been in the city when the David Antonio Cruz was being shown. A superb painter whose work is both exceptionally well-crafted and intellectually interesting. Short walk from Penn's other art exhibition space, the Ross Gallery.

Linda the security guard was the best part of the tour. Raise her salary and every day. Come to the museum if you like art… stay for Linda

All the exhibits currently are in dark rooms & are videos, so not the type of art I typically enjoy. There were only 4 exhibits. We completely skipped one that was very gruesome from what little we saw as we walked past. I will say, the staff members were very pleasant and very helpful in directing us as my daughter is in a wheelchair & required the use of the ramp to get into the main level & the elevator to get to the exhibit upstairs.

This is a fantastic contemporary art space. I will return each and every time I am in Philadelphia to see their frequently changing exhibits.
