The StArt Gallery in Reynolda Village serves as an amazing opportunity to bridge the gap between Wake Forest University students, professional artistic pursuits, and the Winston-Salem community. With its most recent exhibit, Lenses of the Globe, it was exciting to see how the photographer demonstrated photography skills learned in the classroom and was able to apply them to a professional setting.Additionally, since the exhibit consisted of photographs taken around the globe, it implied that there are opportunities offered at Wake for students to embark on world travel. These experiences, and the way that they were documented in the exhibit, highlight the importance of considering how art is defined at the university and the intention of representing diversity of thought and lived experiences. As a Wake student myself and someone interested in careers in art history, I appreciate the fact that the StArt gallery opens up possibilities for gaining experience in the art world and being inspired by the creativity of my peers.Lastly, the gallery's location is very well situated within Reynolda Village, as the village is full of food spots and offers other activities, providing a strong appeal for visitors. Additionally, it is extremely convenient and walkable to Wake Forest University, making it ideal for hosting Wake students as visitors or potentially incorporating a visit to the gallery into a class curriculum.

it is a great place to go to. Educational and fun at the same time. It is kept clean and the staff is nice. There is something for everyone there.
