Steepest hill is right at the ferry landing, then just enjoy the tranquil rolling fields and trees. Odlin park has a nice beach, and is about a mile from the ferry. At the T for Center Road, stay to the right to go to the village (quaint shops), Center Road (most of it) is not recommended--no shoulders! If you want to go to the east side of the island, take Port Stanley, or Lopez Sound Road. If you make it all the way south, Iceberg Point is phenomenal! About a half-mile walk, but totally worth it: Olympics, Cascades, and the water from craggy rocks and cliffs. About 35 miles of riding, so check out a place to stay overnight, and enjoy a little bit of paradise.

This event was well supported by wonderful volunteers. Even with off and on rain showers the day we rode, we really enjoyed the beauty and variety of the different parts of the island, and the BBQ lunch at the end was delicious!

We went to the marina to hire a bike and got great, friendly service. Cost was 10 bucks an hour but 35 for full day. We were kitted out with bikes and helmets and guided as to where to go. It was a little hard, not having ridden for twenty years but good fun.

We rented bikes at Village Cycles and had a wonderful day riding around Lopez. Bikes were delivered to our doorstop and then picked up the next day. LOVED biking on this beautiful island!

What a fantastic Island to cycle on. So many reviews of this island already but just wanted to say that this island may be less hilly than the others on the loop but don't be fooled - there definitely are hills!
