Hotel seems dingy and in need of at least a soft renovation., starting with the exterior, which resembles a budget old folks home. Low ceilings, layer upon layer of purple paint, and the mall food court tile in the lobby don’t add to the ambiance. Adding to the flavor is a Low order gym, and the restaurant closed for renovations (not advertised until check in). Not sure how they maintain a 4 star rating other than proximity to key features on capitol hill.

Solomon was amazing and made the whole experience!! He was attentive and so sweet and always greeted with a smile and a wave. He was my go to person if I needed anything and I so appreciate him!

The location of this hotel is super close to the union station which is quite convenient for transportation. And the staff are very friendly and helpful. Adam, Solomon and Ahmed did tremendous service during our stay. We feel very comfortable while resting in the room, but the sounds from the air conditioning might disturb someone who is sensitive to noise.

One of the things that continues to stand out to us is how incredibly clean and well-kept the hotel is. Every single time we stay, our room and the hotel itself are spotless, comfortable, and welcoming. The consistency is one of the many reasons we continue to come back.The entire staff is incredibly friendly, accommodating, and helpful. They are always quick to respond to anything we need and truly make you feel welcome. Traveling with a two-year-old can sometimes be challenging, but everyone here makes it so much easier and genuinely makes our family feel at home.Adam at the front desk is absolutely wonderful! He is always so friendly, helpful, and accommodating and goes out of his way to make sure we have everything we need. Solomon is amazing as well! He is always there to help with our bags, greets us with a smile every time he sees us, and is incredibly kind. He is especially sweet to our two-year-old son, which means so much to us and makes our stays even more memorable.It’s the little things and the way the staff treats you that really sets the Kimpton George apart. After staying here multiple times over the years, we can confidently say that the service, cleanliness, and hospitality have always been exceptional. It truly feels like a family-friendly home away from home when we’re in DC.We will absolutely continue staying at the Kimpton George and cannot recommend it enough! ❤️

Had a nice stay at Kimpton The George Hotel. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Ahmed in partiuclar went above and beyond for any requests. The property and rooms are well kept and clean. Since the on-site restaurant is closed for renovation, they offered a complimentary grab-and-go breakfast which was unexpected, but a nice treat. The hotel's location made it easy to walk to various tourist destinations as well as many great dining options within a 10-15 min walk as well. We would stay here again. Just be sure to reserve a room with parking included.
