Deborah at the front desk made the stay here the best part of the trip! She was friendly, professional and tried to make us feel welcome and valued as a customer. Note: AC is turned off in Oct and it is still warm then. Only vallet parking at $70.00 a night and that is not listed website. Bathroom ceiling needs repairing.

The Churchill Hotel is a lovely boutique hotel with wonderful old-world charm and a beautiful Art Deco style. It has a warm, elegant atmosphere that feels distinctive rather than like a typical chain hotel. Our stay was quiet and comfortable, and the service was friendly and attentive. A charming place to stay in Washington, DC, especially if you appreciate historic character and a more intimate hotel experience. I would happily stay here again.

I was traveling for work. I usually stay across the street at the Washington Hilton but it was sold out and so I stayed at the Churchill. Based on my experience, I prefer the Churchill. My room was one of the smaller rooms based on the floor map, but it had a nice sized bathroom (with a window), a work space, a fridge and coffee machine, and a steamer and iron. The bed was very comfortable and neither overly soft or firm. Some of the furniture was showing wear and tear and the drawers were not all smooth. The curtains were beautiful but the tracks probably need some minor alignment fixes. I was on the backside of the hotel so there was no noise from the street (there is a lot of construction on and across Connecticut Ave as of Sept 2026), except I could faintly hear a loud snorer from one of the other rooms, it was not a bother though. I did not try the breakfast but it looked like a pretty standard hotel breakfast. It is a short walk to the Dupont Circle subway/metro station, although it is uphill from the metro to the hotel (get off at the Q street entrance). There are a number of restaurants and breakfast places nearby and around the metro. I was a little leery when I booked since it was significantly lower than other hotels in DC during the period I was there, but was pleasantly surprised at how nice my experience was. I would definitely stay here again.

Deborah, the front desk agent, was great. The room was cleaned expertly and on time every day. She was also very polite and was respectful of my time when I was in the room.
