I just saw the sign and did not know about the place while walking around DuPont Circle. To my surprise, I found this consignment store in the heart of DuPont. Too bad, there are no clothing for men (only ties). For ladies, if you are in the area, visit the place, you will find a great selection of clothes and jewelry. Great layout and displays that you don't feel that you are in a regular consignment store. By the way, the store is on the second floor and the door is a small one right next to Starbucks.

I have been a customer & consigner for more than 15 years. I am a writer and editor in the area of DC, MD & VA, also for NYC. For some time & I have been accepting (which is wrong) like other people who I know, a disrespectful attitude, from one of the oldest members of the staff. I will not mention her name, but I am sure that if she reads this review, she will know who she is. The rest of the staff is quite helpful and professional. This is the first time that I have decided to make my dissapointment public. I have sent many new customers to Secondi through the years. Returning to my point, on January 24th, I had an appointment to bring one jacket and a light leather shearling coat. I have tried to make an app. since December. Before going to the store, that same day, I was in Virginia, and I wanted to confirm that it was ok to bring the two pieces. A young lady answered the phone, and confirmed my app. I arrived on time, and I was told by the person who I described before, that she was not taking my 2 pieces of clothing, because the weather was warm...( ...very annoying when it snowed that evening going back to Virginia, and it is still freezing cold in the area). I was upset not only because I called before leaving VA where I was busy doing something, but also because she gave me a nonsense and condescending response, ...if you want, next time, as you get along well with XXX make an app. with her... & she left to the back. I was so in shock, and I told another member of the staff that this time, her answer was unacceptable and that I will not put up anymore with her rudeness. I paid for an item that I bought, and left. Everything has a limit and it was very unpleasant. I brought to Secondi many designer clothes and accessories through the years that were well sold. And even if a person brings only one piece of clothing, and may not be a designer piece, that person should be treated with respect and kindness. Hopefully, the owner, well mannered and professional, will try to change this situation somehow. The store is quite unique, lovely! I have a lot of respect for the owner who, through the years, was able to keep the store updated, etc.,and it is still one of the best in the area in terms of its variety of merchandise. It has an excellent selection of clothing, accessories, and much more. Thank you!

I spotted this store while strolling along Connecticut Avenue and decided to check it out since I had some free time. It was jam-packed with everything from Gucci suits to Loboutin heels to vintage jewelry. The staff was very helpful but didn't hover while I browsed. There was a wide price range --definitely something for everyone. Highly recommended for the fashion lover.

Secondi has a great selection of gently used designer clothing, handbags and accessories. I stop in whenever I'm in town and the inventory never disappoints. Staff (including owner) is always friendly and helpful. I'll definitely return!

This place was a candyland of variety and offerings of wonderful dresses, shoes, purses, shirts...didn't know where to look first. The brands are mostly high end but prices were not outlandish. The staff were not what I would call attentive but nice enough. Definitely the best selection and value of the many places I visited
