tripadvisorI was lucky enough to come across this bookstore when visiting a nearby comic store. It's a real gem of a place with shelves practically floor to ceiling holding everything from first edition classics to modern fiction. I was able to buy some lucky finds at reasonable prices.
MoreMy kindle was dead and I couldn't find the charging cord. So at one of the museums, one of the guides recommended the book store. It wasn't too find walking from the DuPont metro. It took a minute to figure out how the books were set out but was then able to find the categories that I was looking for. I found two books that I picked up that weren't too expensive. On the other hand, if you are looking for some higher value books they have them also. The proprietors were able to answer my questions fairly quickly. I plan to do a repeat visit on my next trip.
MoreI found lots of treasures here and was impressed with the extensive selection of art and history books.
MoreIn fact, this excellent used bookstore is the main reason we come to this part of Washington every time we visit the city. They have an excellent stock of books on a wide range of subjects - their history section, our personal area of interest, is particularly good. They seem to have a good turnover as we always see new material on every visit which is one of the reasons we keep coming back. The staff is fast and efficient, so not a whole lot of wasting time in line when you want to checkout either.
MoreThis store has a great mix of antiquarian and used books. The history selection is particularly good. Be sure to check out the clearance books on the sidewalk outside.
