Joaquin Miller Park has towering redwoods, endless walking and biking trails, large open meadow, picnic tables, dog park, amphitheater, and much more. Because of its size and topography, it never feels crowded. It is by far my favorite park in Oakland.

Joaquin Miller Park is a great spot for hiking and picnicking with beautiful trails and scenic views. Trails range from easy to moderate, and the park is well-equipped with restrooms and picnic areas. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and families.

This is a great resource, a big park in the hills that is very close to a densely populated area. So folks can get here easily to go for a hike, enjoy a picnic or barbeque, or throw around a frisbie.

This is an excellent park to get away from the city while never having to leave the city! As soon as you get into the trails, the city noise fades away and you're surrounded by trees and nature. There are lots of well marked trails and lots of great views. Love going to this park!

Wasn't able to have time to wander it all but what a wonderful group of trails to have so close to town. Mix of easy to moderately difficult trails lots to do and wonder through. Overall fairly well kept up though am concerned about what is going on with the two entrance area pools that are closed off hopefully just being updated. But, look forward to visiting again.
