It is a great place to spend a day in the outdoors. Lots of natural surroundings with a large variety of things to see. They even have children’s programs and cater to a good learning experience.

I went to the Chesapeake Bay side, which was beautiful, parking fee is $7. It was sand and water a lot of families and locals with dogs out and about.

It’s awesome to have a state park in “our backyard” - visited with my niece & nephew to explore the nature/walking trails (so many!) which wind their way through forests, over streams, and murky waterways, all of which provide homes to so much wildlife. A great way to spend time alone or with family & friends, and get the heart and blood pumping.

First Landing State Park is a peaceful retreat for us at Ronald C. Fuhrmann DDS, located just about 11 miles to the east. The trails are beautiful and well-marked, the bay views are calming, and there’s plenty of space for families, picnics, or a relaxing walk. Parking depends on the lot, but the small entry fee is well worth the scenery, the history, and the variety of trails. A great place to unwind after a busy day caring for patients.

Beautiful view, lots of trails to walk and a great family area. Picnic areas and a nice view of the bay. Price was $7 instead of $5 like the site says but still worth it.
