CLEAN UP THESE SEA SHELLS AND ROCKS. You may get cuts in tour feet. Very painful to walk without hurting your feet. AVOID THAT BEACH!

Fun place to visit. Fee for parking but free if you have a Penfield beach sticker issued by the town

Penfield beach is one of five town beaches in Fairfield. It has a new pavilion and very nice playground for children, built in honor of one of the Sandy Hook children. It can get very crowded on the weekends but I do like the fact that those with beach stickers get priority parking. It is our choice for a lazy summer day.

The beaches in this area of Connecticut offer nice views, but I wouldn't go into the water. I am a good swimmer, but I am selective when it comes to water cleanliness where I swim.

This is a great spot because it has food, bathrooms, a covered area to get out of the sun and lots of sand and water. If you don't live in Fairfield, you'll need to pay for parking between memorial day and labor day. Otherwise it's free the rest of the year.
