This theater is located at the Rockville Civic Center where there are other attractions listed in Tripadvisor.com. Three Professional Groups use this Theater to present their shows: Rockville Musical Theater, the Victorian Lyric Opera Company and the Rockville Little Theater. Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the Box Office. Prices of tickets vary depending on the shows, generally ranging from $20 to $25. Looking at the shows scheduled here during the first quarter of 2020, I plan to see as many shows here as possible.

Several community theater groups (and other events) make use of this fine facility. Parking is free. The shows it hosts are alway excellent productions. It's a wonderful venue for reasonably priced community theater. [WRT to food, the offer beverages and snacks for a fee before the shows and at intermission.]

I noted this attraction while driving towards the Croydon Creek Nature Center. It was closed during my visit and construction seemed to be going on. Briefly, I stopped here to take pictures of the Theater, the sculpture, and outside areas. Will further explore this Theater and find out what shows are presented here.

Don't expect world class performances here. But you could enjoy the efforts of local artists in this neighborhood venue. Saw performance of Offenbach's operetta, La Pericole, here. Nice try, folks.

The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre is named for the celebrated author because both he and his famous wife Zelda were frequent visitors to Rockville. Both Scott and Zelda are buried in Rockville, not far from this Theatre. The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre is the home stage for the long established (now in its 36th season) Victorian Lyric Opera Company, VLOC. The VLOC is nationally acclaimed as an outstanding professional level production company of light and comic operas. Several other production companies use this for their home stage, including: the Rockville Civic Ballet; the National String Symphonia; the Rockville Little Theatre; and the Rockville Musical Theatre; and there are others as well. The Theatre is a 446 seat facility with easy wheelchair access for the disabled. The Theatre offers new, comfortable seating, with ample air conditioning and perfect acoustics. There is a massively large paved parking lot with brilliant lighting for the night. All of the sidewalks are paved and wheelchair friendly. On June 11th VLOC will present a fully staged, new costumes and a full pit orchestra edition of Sir W. S. Gilbert and Sir Arthur Sullivan's comic melodrama Rudigore - full of ghosts, witches, and an evil baronet, and loaded with laughter. For this and all events tickets may be purchased thru the Box Office at 240.314.8690. Please check the website for additional events.
