The Epworth Preschool and Kindergarten is a part-time, part-day preschool program for children ages 2-4 and a kindergarten program for children ages 5-6. The developmentally appropriate program at EPK is approved through the Maryland State Department of Education. EPK offers to its preschool and kindergarten students a warm, supportive atmosphere that fosters creativity and individual growth through experimentation and exploration. Children are unique individuals with varying rates of growth, capabilities and interests, and they will learn through trial and error, pleasure, imitation, participation and exploration. Children participate in developmentally appropriate activities and experiences in Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, Music, Art, and Physical Education. Qualified teachers implement the curriculum using materials and equipment that are consistent with the development of children ages 2-5 years.
