Amazing views. They even had an off leach dog beach. It was fun to watch all the dogs having fun. Hard to find parking because spaces are limited but be patient.

This beach was close to our hotel and a lovely place to go at any time of day. Early morning and sunset are very special. Note that on weekends it is quite popular and there may not be room in the parking lot. One can drive past the beach to see the sunset from a lookout point.

Gorgeous beach a little ways away from the hustle and bustle. There are a ton of dogs on the beach and it’s a great, chill place. The boathouse has good food too if you get hungry. Also, there are restrooms by the restaurant, so your beach day is easier.

The beach has a parking lot and restrooms as well as a small (not dog friendly) café. The beach is fairly small at high tide but still has room to sit. There are small tide pool areas at low tide. We were there at a “high” low tide and there wasn’t much to see in them. The beach has sandy and rocky areas. There are two sections of the beach. To the left of the slough is the unleased area, to the right dogs have to be leashed. However, many people brought their unleashed dogs onto the leashed side. This seems to be a normal occurrence. Owners did not watch their dogs and allowed them to poop on the beach without cleaning it upThere was a lifeguard tower but it was unmanned when we were there.

One of my favourite beaches in California.. this place is not easy to get to and not a lot of parking so its not crazy busy but clean, beautiful and the cliffs just behind provide such a great atmosphere. I can spend days here.Hendry's Beach just further up is a bit more clear as its further away from the leash free dog area... just amazing views, and because of the cliffs behind you, it seems like a bit of a private secluded area... it's absolutely beautiful.Further south is the Dog free leach area and although there are some dogs running around having fun, its such a large area that it shouldnt bother anyone. I like dogs so I have no issues with dogs running up to say hello.. Regardless, its an amazing area to spend a day or two. Hang on in the parking lot to get a good spot or you can park further away and walk to the beach
