Ten Thousand Villages is like a combination museum, gift shop, global cultural exhibit, and craft showroom. The first thing that caught my eye was some coffee mugs with floral designs that made me think of Turkish ceramics. When I enquired, I learned that, in fact, these had arrived newly from Turkey as a way to support local crafts in this time of earthquake recovery. There were bright textiles from India, and I bought two cat print tea towels. I could not pass up the chocolate bars from Ghana and the coffee beans from East Africa. The staff are always attentive and knowledgeable, so a visit is always educational.

Such a great store, an awesome variety and lovely ladies who enjoy their job. What else can you ask for? This is definitely one of if not the favorite of mine when in the area. I love the birdhouses!!! Thank you!!

H. Trish was very sweet and knowledgeable. All the items are hand made from musical instruments to children's toys. The longer you browse, the more you'll see. Great gift ideas and time well spent while waiting for a table at Thames Street Oyster House.

This was a wonderful little shop! I love that everything was handmade and high quality. I wanted everything! The pottery and glassware was amazing. The jewelry was awesome! There is something here for everyone. I bought a pair of alpaca gloves and I can't wait to wear them.

I was there with my 6 and 10 yo. The I assume owner of the store was super nice and very accommodating to my kids. The store itself has interesting unique items from around the world. While not the destination point for Fells Point, certainly worth a few minutes if you are close by.
