tripadvisorWe were here last Saturday night for a concert. Getting there is easy, there's a parking garage around the corner ($2 on weekends), getting in and to our seats was fine, the bar was open, good stuff. The downsides of this place for me, are mainly the restroom (extremely tight space and if you are behind the door you're likely to get banged into), and the fact that there are no footlights along the ramped floor that runs the length of the theatre. These days, hubby has to find the restroom several times in a couple of hours, and when I got up, I had to go too. Once I came back in, I couldn't see anything, and while there were attendants there the whole evening, not one had a flashlight that I could see, although they were walking up and down the aisles the whole time during the performance. This was a senior crowd and I worried that someone might trip on the uneven floor surface or bang into a seat or another person. When we went to leave, there was someone dancing in the back in front of the exit door, and pointed at another door for us to exit by. Why this person couldn't have a light to help people leaving I couldn't understand either. People much older than we are might have a difficult time in a venue like this. We have been to many other places and they always have some kind of lighting, either on the walls or along the floor where the seats are.
MoreThe historic 1,143 seat Weinburg was built in 1926 as a silent movie palace and is to this day vibrant handling hundreds of events a year. We were there for my granddaughter's dance recital and had great 2nd row seats. The sight lines were great, and the sound system was very good. The lobby had a wonderful old time atmosphere with candy counter and beautiful chandeliers as well as nice walkway from the street entrance to the lobby.
MoreThe Weinberg is a gem hidden in Frederick. We have seen numerous performances by some of the best dance, theatre and comedy acts in the DMV area. If you have not checked out the Weinberg Center it is a wonderful place to spend an evening.
MoreLovely venue and it was clean. Parking was good. It was clean, it was comfortable, it was just a nice experience seeing my favorite author.
MoreBeautiful building, comfortable seats, tiered floor meant that we could see the stage even from the back. The organizers were efficient and managed the crowd in friendly yet professional manner. After the event, most of the audience waited to meet the performer and even this was meticulously executed.A great evening - wonderful entertainment, lovely venue, flawless organization.
