I've been on an adventure around Frederick and some of Maryland to find the best Maryland Crab Cake sandwich. On my scale of 0-5. Olde Town Tavern (OTT or Old town to locals) ranked at a 4 for their Crab cake sandwich. It comes with a pickle and chips. I've had them here many times, two of the maybe 7times, it been overcooked. The crowd is pretty diverse here, it sometimes has a dive bar feel, and doesn't on other days. During the day, I sometimes bring my preteen son here for a burger and to play some ping pong or darts in the back. At night, it can get a little exciting. Daily drink specials and plenty of parking on the side. It's one of my preferred bars in Frederick.
