New favorite bookshop. Too bad I’m not a local. So many little reading nooks cultivated throughout the space and the layout really makes you feel like every area is a new discovery.

Wonderful place to visit anytime, especially on a dreary day. Staff are kind and will let you sit and read there all day, no purchase necessary. Will visit again soon!

This one of a kind bookstore is housed in an old building that wears its age well. Creaking floorboard and rickety railings provide a subtle backdrop for a diverse collection of books, maps, and related materials. Upstairs is overflowing with the usual and unusual, packed into shelving that suggests clutter but is actually well curated. I found this when making an overnight stop to enjoy downtown Fredericksburg.I bought 4 titles and passed on 3 others only because of space limitations resulting from my travel itinerary.Highly recommended, this is the kind of bookstore voracious readers and bibliophiles dream about.

Found this place by looking on the internet. It is a great used book store. Helpful staff. I went for the Civil War books. They had a whole section loaded with hard to find Civil War books.
