My daughter and I had a most memorable time at Liberty Town Arts making pottery yesterday with our instructor, Kevin. He was helpful, patient, thorough and knowledgeable...a 5 star instructor. His passion for making pottery is evident. Everyone we encountered at Liberty Town has been so good to work with. The very large selection of artist's creations that are on display for sale make a fun addition to check out as you meander through the building. It reminds me somewhat of the American Visionary Museum in Baltimore. We will definitely return to take more classes. Absolutely worth our drive from both Richmond and D.C.

We were drawn to this gallery by it's bright outdoor lights. It's on a side street of the main tourist street. The place is big, divided up in rooms for the different artists to work. There is a lot of variety, paintings, sculptures etc. Everything is for sale, or you can just look, no sale pressure. It was also fun to be able to talk to some of the artists. They offer classes/workshops.

I was unconvinced of bad google review but was visiting LT when school fieldtrip happened. Renter came to two highschool girls and say she was going to be their mother for the day because BH liked the young pretty ones. So gross. When I left he was giving talk to class. Why this happen after accused of attempting to force himself on own student? Really makes person look at BH painting in different way.

It's like going to an art museum in down town for free. Everything is for sale but you can spend an hour just exploring. Zero sales pressure.

This is the second summer our family has been to a camp at LibertyTown Arts. We returned this summer, because it was such a great experience last summer. But if you just want to see some incredible local artists, you have to walk around here. Camps - there is a wide variety for two age groups. Ceramics, water colors, weaving and screen printing.... And the projects are unique. I love when my kiddos are excited to show me and teach me about what they have learned. Artists - it is great to walk around the studios to see the works, both finished and those in process, that the artist have. It's a great example of the different types of art. Even if you are looking at the same medium, they are vastly different styles. But some very talented artists!!! Great to just look or to shop!!!
