Harper's It all started in 1962 when Carroll and Betty Harper launched their dream of providing quality garden and ornamental products at an affordable and reasonable price. Carroll purchased a $3 concrete-mold catalog that he had found while flipping through a gardening magazine. The Harper's aspiration of owning their own company was sparked by the purchase of just one concrete-planter mold. According to Carroll, business was sluggish at first. But, with the dedication and the help of Carroll's two sons, Dale and Doug Harper, Harper's Lawn Ornaments has increased their product line over the years to more than 1, 000 pieces of ornamental concrete and giftware. In 1995, Harper's expanded their family venture to include their eccentrically decorated Water Garden Center full of diverse fountain and water garden displays. Today we are at the same landmark location on Route 11still paying close attention to the finest details to provide unique customer service. We have wholesalers in six states and two giftshops on our premises. Customers travel from many states to make a day out of the one-of-a-kind experience. Harper's Lawn Ornaments and Water Gardens is now willing and able to help with all phases of development and addition towards your own yard and gardens. MoreI stopped by here in the middle of a car trip from Maryland to southwestern Virginia yesterday. It is an easy stop less than a mile off an I-81 exit near Harrisonburg, VA.This place is AMAZING. Must be thousands of concrete statues and figures, some antique or detailed painting and many others just concrete for you to paint yourself. See my attached pictures.Most importantly, Ryan on the staff was excellent in helping me. He answered all my questions, helped with my selections and made the purchase process easy-peasy. He even picked up the five pieces I selected and drove them to my car trunk in a golf cart - and then packed them very nicely with a lot of protective cardboard in my car trunk. Ryan made my experience wonderful and I appreciate him for that.First time stop here. But I will be back. It is very evident good quality concrete is used and attention to detail is paid during the molding and making process. If you cannot find what you are looking for here either you are not looking hard enough...or it does not exist. This place is worth the stop - and should be a destination location or bucket list stop for people who enjoy well-made concrete statuary.

MoreThis was an amazing place for garden statuary. I have never seen such a great collection. Not cheap, but seemingly priced fairly as the pieces appear solid. Will visit again. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.
