I grew up within walking distance of Portsmouth City Park in the 1950s. I have visited it many times since I returned to the area. I can no longer drive and am not in walking distance of the park, but I have very fond childhood memories of it and have enjoyed visiting it whenever I could. It's a wonderful place to visit in Portsmouth!

Go to city links golf course once a week nice little 9 hole course. The staff is always very pleasant. Can not beat the price.

In years past we would visit the park playground or the little train. Looks like the train is closed. The golf course is open. Sure was hot today

We stopped by here awhile ago and had lunch and a small picnic by the City Park. There is so much to do and lots of families there with activities like boating, jet skiing, and corn hole board players.

Not only a great playground and picnic area but nice views of the river. Great boat ramp with ample parking. Fishing/crabbing pier. Paved sidewalk along the waterfront. Last but not least, a model railroad for train rides that runs all summer.
