I attended a friends' pre-wedding get together at this park last summer. I found it to be very clean with availability being no problem. Seems like one of Va Beach's best kept secrets ! I thoroughly enjoyed the drive out there and the event I attended was wonderful !

We recently had a reunion here and placed a reservation to secure a picnic area and play softball. The place is very large and can accommodate 1000,s of people and they have picnic areas, softball, corn hole, fire pits, a boat lift area and so much more. Great place to have a party.

Quiet, pretty, well maintained park. Boat launch ($8.00) plenty of open areas, playground area, disc golf, ball field. Or just walk out to look at the water!

I have lived in this area my entire life and I had no idea that this park even existed! We just had our family reunion here and it is a huge park on the water and it is very peaceful with lots of seating areas, paved parking lots, play areas for kids and even a basketball court. There were other group events happening but the park is so large that none of the events clashed with each other; every group had plenty of space. The only reason I even knew that there were other events happening is because of where I parked. Our large group had plenty of privacy. We were close to the water so our group pictures were very nice. This park is nice and peaceful and I cant believe that I never knew this park was in the area. The Pungo area is often neglected so that is probably why I had never heard of it. This is a wonderful park and a fantastic way to spend the day either with a large group or for a romantic picnic for two by the water. This is my new favorite park in Tidewater.

This park is located near the NC border and takes a little time to get there. The park is well kept. There are picnic sites, children play facilities, and fishing. It is adjacent to the back bay. It is peaceful here and offers rental sports equipment (i.e. horseshoes, etc.). Barbecue grills are available.
