tripadvisorGood trip. We arrived at approximately 4 pm and made our way towards the entrance of the trail. We opted to hike the Seneca Trail which was a roughly 1.4 mile loop trail around the park. We also combined it with the Cherry Lane Trail, which was an additional 1.1 miles, in order to make the hike a bit longer. The trail was relatively easy and consisted of walking on a gravel surface for a majority of the walk. The trail took us through the forest and we were able to enjoy scenic views of a pond. There was a medium sized staircase about halfway through the trail.Tip: I recommend spending 1.5 hours here if you truly want to see everything.
MoreThis site is a true gem! Totally manicured grounds. One can tell people take pride in their landscaping here. Our teenage sons loved our walk “through Jurassic World”.
MoreI have visited the Nature Realm 2x’s in the past week and I plan to visit again soon. If you love nature (hiking, animals/birds, plants/herbs/flowers), you must visit here. I’ve taken my spouse & our two grandsons and everyone enjoyed it. Clean, spacious, air-conditioned Nature Center with kids activities, live animals & an aviary viewing window. Kids loved seeing the playful squirrels & chipmunks & seeing bird feeders. Bathrooms accessible from outside even when Nature Center is closed. Summit County should be proud of this gem!
MoreGood for a day trip or for hiking. You can spend a couple of hours. The information center has helpful staff, some stuffed animals and some live ones in cages as well as maps of the nature realm. You can observe different types of birds both inside of the info center from a glass wall and in the paths outdoors. The woods provide shade in some pathways. The entrance is free. There is a free carpark.
MoreThis is a well kept park. There are nice walking trails, garden areas, a little pond, butterfly garden, camp fire areas, scenic places to sit and enjoy the views, and images cut into the concrete walkways to educate about the wildlife in the area.
