The Thomas Road Baptist Church was started in 1956 by a small group of 35 members. Today, its strength has grown up to 20,000 active members. The church started Liberty University, then known as the Lynchburg Baptist College. The church has programs for adults and children that involves them in worship and also teaches them how to live a life of faith and happiness. The church holds many regular events so do check their website for more information.
