BEWARE OF CHICKENSNo joke, they are everywhere. It felt like an invasion of the chickens. The pottery shop is cute (prices are a bit high for the area) and the staff was very friendly. If you love pottery go for it, otherwise keep driving.

This is a beautiful farm, not too far away from Saugatuck, South Haven or Fennville, but far enough away to not hear the busy noise of any highway or other remnants of city life. Dawn is an amazing artist and the selection of work she has available is more than worth the drive to see her.

We very much enjoyed walking through the old barn looking over the pottery, and strolling around the grounds with the Old English Sheep dogs and chickens, and hearing about the solar power system from Dawn (what an interesting and busy lady with lots of involvements) as well learning about infusing pasta with different herbs. Whew! Great visit.

Beautifully crafted pottery! All of the pottery is made by talented local artisans. Prices are fair and honest. So many beautiful designs that I've never seen before. They also hold classes on site. After looking through their shop & purchasing a coffee mug, we stopped outside to watch the chickens. Such a wonderful little place!

Dawn Soltysiak is the resident potter at her farm (which is an attraction all by itself). We found it easily from South Haven following the directions in a brochure we found at our B&B. Dawn has everything from functional pottery to purely art pieces, and everything in between. She uses a variety of glazes (including metallic), as well as pit-fired pieces and raku. Prices ranged from $5 to over $100 (if the price isn't marked, just ask), with most pieces in the $20-60 range. I purchased a large pit-fired piece that I just had to have. At this point, my collection has enough variety that unless something really strikes me AND is something I don't already have, I don't buy it. I loved Dawn's work, and she is very happy to talk with people about her work and her farm. Chester the cat jumped on my shoulder and was happy to stay there quite a while, too!
