I am so obsessed with the gorgeous public art in Cass Park. I stayed only a block or two away while I was in Milwaukee, and I made my boyfriend walk through that park every day when we went up to Brady Street. Marina Lee's art installation is fun, sweet, and colorful. It has aged slightly—one of the plaques is gone—but that won't take away from your joy at seeing this art, which is only a block or two away from Brady Street and definitely worth the detour. The description of the main sculpture, which I found online, reads: The Izy Bird is a rare and strange bird that is created from all of the colors of the rainbow. It is the only bird in the world whose sole purpose is to make you smile. Whether you are 2 or 102, short or tall, big or small, black, yellow, white red or brown, the Izy Bird loves you.

This park is definitely showing it's age. The artwork has cracked paint and some of the garden areas are unkept and heavily weeded. However, some children were having lots of fun, on the equipment. Kids would have fun, I am sure.

This little park sits just blocks away from Brady Street neighborhood which is chock full of interesting shops and restaurants. It has a playground, tennis courts, and basketball, but what sets it apart from other parks is the unique fiberglass art set around the play area. The colorful sculptures are done by Wisconsin artist Marina Lee, and the park was featured in a book called Oddball Wisconsin, which is how I came to find it. If you like art, you'll also enjoy the mural across the street on the Boys & Girls Club wall. Just a fun find for both young and old.
