We wanted to break up our drive to Myrtle Beach so we stopped at HP. Our hotel (SpringHill Suites) seemed to be brand new. The front desk guys were very welcoming and informative. After checking in we walked a block or 2 and found several little bars and shops next to the HP baseball stadium. We made sure we walked a few more blocks to see the world’s largest chest of drawers then back to the Dive Bar for another refreshment. For dinner we drove a few miles to the Deep River area and ate at Kickback Jacks which we really enjoyed. In the morning we were off to MB.

Despite all the other restaurants being closed on Christmas Day, the High Point was opened. Mom and my younger brother had the turkey dinner and said it was very tasty. I had the baked ziti which was impressive. People, this is not bar food but prepared very well and tasty. The owner is really hands on and greets you as you go through the door. Prices can't be beat. Definitely a place to check out.....

Facility is always clean and well maintained. Most of the staff is nice - the playground is large and fun! They usually have the train running on the weekends throughout the summer.

Fun place to spend the day or part of a day. Lots for families, with younger children, to do and spend time.
