Country Park Park

During the Revolutionary War, the park grounds were the site of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, and is now recognized as a National Historical Landmark. Country Park has two fishing lakes, a leash-free dog park, hiking trails, playgrounds, paddle boats, and picnic areas, all of which have disabled access. Besides being a great spot for a family gathering or a date, the park also hosts charity walks and runs throughout the year for various organizations. Since vehicles are not allowed in the park on weekdays, holidays, and after 4:15pm on weekdays, a tram service provides transportation to the park during those times. Visitors will find the Guilford County Veterans' Memorial inside the park. The park is open daily from 8am until dusk.

This is a very lovely park. There are hiking trail, mountain bike trails and a dog park. The lake is the center of it and it’s a great place to hang out.

My family and I love this park. Come on an off day and get just the right amount of quiet. Come on a weekend and even when the place is busy it isn't so overly crowded you lose your mind. Plenty of stuff to do, a great walkway with plenty of shade, hills, and great scenery! Has a nice dog park, and is proximal to the Guilford Courthouse Military Park, which is super cool as well.I've been visiting this park for about 20 years. Over those years there was a spot about 5-10 years ago where the park was seemingly overrun with signs. Everywhere there was sign telling you something you must or must not do, a place you must not go, and so on. But more recently I see that peeling back, so that's nice. It was kinda nuts there for a bit.

Great place to run if you don't mind a few hills, or want to work on your hill skills! The loop around the park is right around 2 miles and you pass playgrounds, ducks, paddle boats, and forest. Could not ask for a more scenic place to spend your time. Such a treasure for the fine city of Greensboro :)

Country Park is a lovely free park for people to enjoy. You drive in and park your car in the parking lot. The road actually going through the park is closed to vehicles during the weekends and on holidays. The park has many nice amenities. There is a Bark Park, an off-leash dog park that is located within Country Park. There are educational programs available. There are also two lakes for fishing, and nature, hiking, and biking trails. The Guilford County Veterans' Memorial is in Country Park. There are also playgrounds for the younger members of the family. If you are looking for a free outdoor activity site for all to enjoy, give Country Park a visit.

This is a wonderful mini Central Park! The entire community can enjoy the lake and the paved walk around it. There is also a dog park up on the hill and the Science Center is right here as well! It is closed to automobiles on the weekend! Perfect!
