My family and I were excited to visit Cary NC after hearing such wonderful things about the diversity of the city. We are looking to move to the area. After a day of house hunting we swung in here for a bite to eat. Looked busy and figured it was popular. We were shocked when we went in because the were hosting a White Nationalist meeting. We just wanted a burger now we are so disgusted we voted as a family to not even consider Cary as a town to relocate.

It's a hole in the wall bar. Staff is not friendly and the food was aweful. Not for children, teens or business setting.

This is a pleasant enough neighborhood tavern featuring sports bar type food and activities. The bar menu consists of things like chicken wings, burgers, sandwiches, etc. The menu has quite a few offerings. You just know that some offerings are going to better than others. I have heard mixed reports depending on the items ordered. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Playing safe, I recently had one of their burgers which was cooked medium the way I asked and was very good. The fries that came with it, not so much so. Usually, when I ask for a medium burger in places like this, it comes back well done, so, I was impressed. Anyway, the food is fine for the most part, if nothing to write home about. The place is spacious with quite a few tables. There are pool tables and darts and trivia games available. I like that live music is featured. We could use a few more venues in this neck of the woods that features live bands. The live music is usually featured on the weekends. Depending on who is playing that night you can add or take away a star.

I like the staff (of those that I have met) and the food. I have never had a bad time at Mac's. If I came and there is not a band playing, then I can entertain myself with the trivia/poker game. This is more of a bar/restaurant than an attraction, but whatever. I don't pick the categories.
