The store has an amazing selection of fun and unusual items. From watches to home decor to kitchen tools. The staff is very nice and helpful. We needed to fix some expensive light fixtures in our kitchen and they helped us identify the brand and purchase replacement wiring instead of replacing the whole set of fixtures. It saved us a lot of money and we are very grateful.

Accipiter is a fabulous shop in Cameron Village. It has very clever, creative gifts and household things for anyone that visits. I am not sure what one of the reviewers meant about the store staff not welcoming minority children. When we visited, Accipiter had the most diverse and FULL store of any other store on the block. That is actually the only complaint I had - it was too popular! There were customers of many different nationalities shopping in the store and the staff was gracious to everyone. Kids and adults alike were playing with some of the toys that were on display. If you are around or near Cameron Village, Accipiter is a must. Especially around Christmas. I was able to find reasonably priced FUN presents for most folks on my list!

Every year at Christmas I shop in Cameron Village and always make sure to stop in Accipiter as they always have something that catches my eye to give to that person or people on my list who are difficult to shop for. Sometimes it is a wonderful gift others a fabulous stocking stuffers. The store has beautiful artsy choices as well as kitschy gag gifts. This year I purchased unique coffee mugs for adult children, a cool key chain, previous years magnets, cards, calendars, etc. The store also offers some great lighting options. This is a fun place to visit. Beware that there is a lot of stuff packed into this little space and it is hard to navigate -- which can be a special challenge a stroller, in a wheelchair or for young children.

things you won't find elsewhere. they have all sorts of odd items for sale. some more useful than others. we were in the market for furniture, which they no longer carry. all in all a fun store to peruse.

Nice things in this store - they have a sign that the lyrics only accept dogs and some children here. Based on the way my wife and two sons were just treated, we found that white kids are the some children they accept and they would rather allow dogs than black children - i.e. some children (i.e. the children of the caucasian lady that was in the store with her kids and neither her or her kids were approached in a negative manner and were actually being helped and no one offered assistance to my wife) are more equal than others.
