tripadvisorWe had an enjoyable walk through of the North Carolina state capitol. Access is free. The staff at the door were clearly bored and disinterested, but that is not a problem as once inside you just wander on your own. It was an interesting peak into the history of the state and worth the time.
MoreI felt so bad, my sister hasn't visited any state capitols and this was her experience. Maybe a guided tour could have breathed some life into it. We paid for parking a block away and fortunately wandered into the courtyard and sanctuary of a historic Episcopal church.
MoreOur tour guide Ava provided a very nice guided tour of the State Capitol building. She told interesting stories and gave a good explanation of the building. I would recommend a visit.
MoreNorth Carolina state Capitol building was very nice, not too much to see in the building. They were under construction on the outside grounds. Parking was a couple of blocks away .
MoreThe North Carolina State Capitol whilst no longer used by council was still fabulous to wander all three floors and see the old rooms and chambers seeing it was built almost 200 years ago (1833).
