Pittman Auditorium of St Mary's School, is named after one of the ex students of the school, Eliza Battle Pitman. The structure of the auditorium dates back to the Neo classical period, with archaic decor. The auditorium has been a host to many of the school plays like Mean Girls. It also hosted the District C Program, for students, which nominates students for becoming future leaders. The auditorium is also rented out for wedding receptions and any other private celebrations.

A sign on the site marks the school as part of the North Carolina Civil War Trails. The grand lawn, known as The Grove and it’s assemblage of historical buildings, are quaint reminders of Civil War days gone by. From the grove, brick pavers leads one up to a cozy Gothic church circa 1855. The two oldest buildings on site- East and West Rock- were built around the 1830's.
