tripadvisorThe North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theater is an amazing place. It is small and intimate so you feel like you are a part of the show. But more than that, the performers are extremely talented. The shows are high quality too. The prices are similar to the cost of a movie but you get live theater. This past season has had some really deep shows, one was about PTSD and brought attention to an important subject. Another was about bullying and the consequences. The show with race, relationships had its focus on complex issues. It's A Wonderful Life Radio addition was brilliant with the Foley artists and the performers bringing the story to life. I like that this theater does such a variety of shows. The theater is in a shopping center with many restaurants and a Food Lion so that provides plenty of parking although it does fill up so you might need to walk a little from where you parked. The concessions are just $1 for drinks or snacks too so that is refreshing.
MoreThe music was fantastic and so was the cast! Would highly recommend this small theater for both price of tickets and cast who are as good as any Broadway show I've seen in New York. Plan to go back in September to see A Chorus Line
MoreSaw 9 to 5 here while visiting, great energy and strong voices in the play. Venue is small with restaurants convenient for before and after the play. No bad seats. Bathrooms could use some sprucing up.
MoreA very intimate theater. Not more than 150 seats and there is not a bad seat in the house. Famous for its performance of A Christmas Carol each year.
MoreThis place is a hidden gem in North Raleigh. It is in the Greystone Shopping plaza with Food Lion and is off of Lead Mine Road. It is a really small theater but the Laughter on the 23rd Floor performance was as solid as anything I've seen on Broadway. I was highly impressed by the performance. There is a small lobby and they sell food and wine in the lobby before the show. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The seating is in padded chairs and they are close together so it is tight. But for $12 performances that isn't a bad sacrifice to make. I also didn't notice any public restrooms so that could be a problem. I will be seeing a lot more shows at the theater now that I discovered it.
