Welcome to Thompson Contractors, Inc and our little piece of cyber space. We are a family owned corporation that has been in business since 1949. Currently we operate two rock quarries, one that is located near Rutherfordton, NC in Rutherford County (Miller Creek Quarry), the other located near Mill Spring, NC in Polk County (Mill Spring Quarry).The products we manufacture are produced to North Carolina Department of Transportation specifications. We also maintain a NCDOT certified QC Lab on site at the Miller Creek Quarry, with on-site certified technicians. We strive to be a good corporate citizen as well as a good neighbor in both Rutherford and Polk Counties. We are members of the North Carolina Aggregates Association and operate our facilities in accordance with all federal, state and local regulations.
