Pleasant environment, lovely staff, friendly cats, good books. Pretty much my idea of perfect. Prices very reasonable, too!

This is a used book store in a small plaza in the Midwood area. There is a huge selection of books to view and the organization is well-done. The only complaint I have that stopped me from doing a 5 star review is that the store had several cats in it. People who are allergic to cats (i.e. me) find it difficult to stay in the store for long without suffering from an allergy attack.

Book Buyers is my favorite used book store in Charlotte. It's a book lovers' dream, with books piled high and separated by genre. My favorite part is the $1 table outside. These are the best value and I often buy more books from these tables than I do inside. Some of the books inside are a bit pricey for secondhand (I picked up one that was $8. Too pricey for my tastes, but in fairness, it was in great condition). My only critique would be that they don't have a lot of Young Adult fiction available. What they do have is hard to find. Also, you will want to avoid this store if you have pet allergies because of the cats. It's worth the itchy eyes for me though, as an avid book reader and bargain shopper! They also sell vegan-friendly products and promote reusable bags. Bonus points

Large, with lots of used books, well curated and reasonably priced. Friendly knowledgable staff. Also CDs, DVDs, and other paraphernalia. Plenty of parking.
